I have a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Chemical Engineering is often called jack of all trades engineering especially due to the almost universal potential for chemistry to be applied in a chemical setting, so I have thorough knowledge of basics and advanced chemistry. My specialized courses were chemical process control; chemical reaction engineering; environmental sciences; process dynamics control; thermodynamics; and polymer sciences. My experience as a Process Engineer in an Indian Oil Refinery gave me the opportunity to use my knowledge in practical terms, but my love and passion for teaching persuaded me to take up chemistry (organic, inorganic, general) and other engineering courses .I have over 7 years experience as a Chemistry Teacher, teaching over 150 students the basics of chemistry, helping high school, college students with various chemistry courses. I have always prided myself on being able to connect with the students by making Chemistry fun for them, and thus, interesting to learn about. As an engineer, you can never ignore maths because Mathematics is the language of physical science and engineering, Mathematics is more than tool for solving problems; mathematics courses can develop intellectual maturity. Mathematics is a part of everyone's life. Every student should experience the thrill of mathematical discovery. Every teacher can appreciate the elegance of a great mathematical insight.I also offer tutoring services in Prealgebra, Algebra 1;2, Pre calculus, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry.My experience in tutoring Maths have led me to compile my own practice sheets in each topic that has helped the students in so many years. My teaching philosophy is straightforward: teach your students as you would want to be taught - with enthusiasm, and with a passion for the subject combined with respect and understanding for the students. When teaching maths I make sure that the basics are grasped well because this is the only subject that needs a strong basic foundation and as you know " You can't build a great building on a weak foundation"! I have worked in various tutoring institutes over the years and have earned a lot of experience in tutoring students ranging from elementary school to college levels. My experiences are as below: Wyzant Tutoring Since 2013 Spider Smart Tutoring (2013-2014) & APLUS learning center (2018-present) • Teaching mathematics and science from 5th grade to college students including subjects like algebra,calculus, trigonometry, functions and statistics. • Teaching SAT, ACT, GRE maths, MBA entrance exam maths, ASVAB and GED maths on regular basis. • Introduced Mathematics Enrichment Program for students who need extra help. • Created and administered weekly quizzes and monthly test to track students progress. • Going above and beyond to help studens with their tests and exams. • Formulated my own practice/problem sheets to help students with their coursework.
