Experience
I'm a graduate student in Biochemistry. I've been tutoring high school and college students for the past 5 years, in all variety of math and science subjects. For math, I've successfully tutored students in everything from Algebra I to Calculus I, II, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. For math majors looking for extra help, advanced math is also one of my specialties! One of my great strengths is helping college students with difficult science classes, especially Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and all varieties of the biological sciences. College students studying advanced science--I'm the tutor for you. I've also helped high school students achieve success in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, at all levels - from regular track to 4's and 5's on the AP exams. I do a lot of SAT and PSAT prep work, and I work individually with each student to identify their problem areas and to address their specific needs. I enjoy working with students and find great pleasure in seeing my students succeed. I'm patient and am skilled at explaining ideas and concepts in multiple ways to accommodate the needs of the students. I have a laid back demeanor, and I try to make studying science and math stress-free and enjoyable. I will always answer your calls and texts, and I'm great at responding to emergency "My problem set is due tomorrow?!?!" or "I have a test when?!" situations. I'm always happy to provide references from previous students or the parents of previous students if you'd like them. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy athletics. I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years all way through Division I NCAA swimming at Georgetown. After swimming at Georgetown, I took up marathon running!
