Carnegie Mellon University - BS, Biological Sciences , Vanderbilt University - PhD, Cell and Developmental Biology
In 2006, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon. I later enrolled at Vanderbilt University, where I obtained my PhD in Cell/Developmental Biology. As for tutoring, I've been helping others in that capacity since 2008 in various types of science and mathematics courses. Specifically, I've been able to tutor students of various age groups, ranging from middle school to high school to post-secondary school. My personal teaching method involves keeping sessions focused and on point so that students understand exactly what the subject matter is and what is expected. That said, I also believe that the tutor and the students should actually enjoy the tutoring sessions. As for my availability, I can help students most evenings as well as on weekends.Subjects I'm especially equipped to instruct students in include, but are not limited to, algebra one and two, arithmetic, elementary mathematics, geometry, precalculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, trigonometry, AP biology, genetics, science, and IB biology. When it comes to downtime, I enjoy various sorts of activities. For example, I like hiking, backpacking, traveling, science, and health policy.
