Reading is my favorite subject to tutor. It lays a foundation for everything else a student learns. Also, I have a passion for giving tutees a love of learning and using that to be more successful in the subjects we cover and life in general. Confidence and pride are other attributes students must have in what they learn and accomplish. I've worked as an elementary school special education teacher for seven years. My experience also includes being an after school math and reading tutor, and I once ran a program for students to recover high school credits. I have a Master of Arts in Special Education, focused on Math, from The University of Connecticut. After graduation, I began teaching special ed classes. I now live in Germantown, Maryland and enjoy reading, cooking, and scrap booking in my spare time, and cheer on the UConn Huskies basketball and football teams whenever I can.
